Who am I?

I am Naman, just an ordinary twenty-something-year-old who is tested positive for the travel virus 😛

What’s interesting about me? Did I leave my job to become a traveller?

Nothing interesting. I am a full-time working professional.

Then what is my story?

Nothing exciting, honestly. Just like everyone else in this world, I love travelling. During family trips in childhood, I was fascinated at the sight of travellers with huge bags on their backs. And when I started earning, I saved money and my leaves to materialise my dream of becoming a backpacker.

And why did I start this blog?

While planning my travels or even in the middle of my trips, I felt that there is a dearth of information sources for budget travellers. Therefore, I thought of starting a blog that can help guide budget travellers.

But there are soooo many budget travel blogs already out there.

I knowwww. And I have followed these blogs all along to help me in my travels. But, at the same time, I realised how much more these travel bloggers spend on their trips, while how much less I spend when I follow a similar itinerary.

How is that possible? Those other travel bloggers are so much more experienced than me, right?

I am aware that my experience in travelling is minuscule against the bloggers who have spent years on the road.

BUT…

I have observed that most of them are western travellers (no offence intended here, just honest observation) and because they disproportionately benefit from the currency conversion rate, they overlook small differences in prices and cumulatively end up spending significantly more in the whole trip.

How am I different?

Besides sharing budget travel guides, I will also write my thoughts, reflections, observations, etc related to travel. And I hope to stir meaningful conversations through them, and connect with like minded travellers.
